Jeffrey Bonacci - Creator; Manik Grafik
For over 15 years I have been living in New York City. In that time, I have met a great many people and have had the opportunity to do a great many things – some artistic, some less than artistic.
It wasn't until 1994 that Manik Grafik even came into being. At that time, there were not a whole lot of people offering services for musicians and performers to create interesting and new resumes and packaging materials. A friend of mine and I thought that it would be a good idea to start a company that did this for those people who could not do it for themselves. Thus, Manik Grafik was born. Needless to say, things changed –as they always seem to do so quickly in this city – and Manik Grafik was pushed to the side and the hustle and bustle of everyday life started to take over.
Time passed, and I had taken up many new hobbies, one of which was photography. I never really let the Graphic Arts thing go and kept my hand in it, on the side, doing odd jobs here and there for people/organizations when they needed it. It wasn't until a friend of mine encouraged me to actually put my images up on the web that Manik Grafik made its resurgence. Although this site has very little to do with Graphic Arts, I just couldn't let the name go. It was mine – I fought for it – and I'm keeping it!
Basically, this site is devoted to my images and my music. I have also included some of the past projects that I have done so that people can get a (basic) idea of my other talents. In addition to having my photos and music on this site, I have also asked some other talented friends of mine to exhibit some of their work here as well. I am in the process of convincing a couple more of them to join – you know how that goes.
Take your time, browse and see some of my work. You can always get in touch with me by clicking the "Email" button at the top of this page or the button on the homepage. I would love to chat with you and am always looking for good advice when it comes to the site. I am also eager to collaborate. So, if you have any ideas for something that you would like to work on, or simply want to say hello ‚ I would love to hear from you. Enjoy your stay.
